Following a period of substantial growth, ACS are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our busy support services team at our Head Office in Poole, Dorset.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Management Accountant’s role may include the following activities:
- Monthly reporting on financial performance to group and to local management, within agreed deadlines.
- Preparing and managing year end accounts process with external accountants.
- Timely completion of VAT and other statutory returns, in UK and Ireland.
- Lead role in implementing single financial reporting packages (e.g. Sage) following any mergers.
- Review and upgrade, including system implementation of financial reporting software (for example Sage 200, Sage 50).
- Regular balance sheet review to demonstrate accuracy of source data.
- Managing and liaising with external auditors.
- Management of the fixed asset register.
- As part of the Management Team, input in other aspects of the business.
- Further consolidation work required related to future acquisitions.
- Control the annual budgeting process.
- Preparing R&D submission data.
- Monitoring and reporting of capital investment projects.
- Sales forecasting.
Requirements:
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified accountant – (either fully qualified or committed to and having made significant progress towards qualification).
- Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed in a multisite environment.
- Strong Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Sage 200 & Sage 50.
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal colleagues at all levels.
- Assertive, professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with both colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Good communication skills – liaising with operational managers to ensure that business procedures are followed.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate information on time.
- Personally resilient, able to cope with pressures inherent in the role from time to time.
Note:- This role is office based in Poole, UK. There will be a requirement for occasional travel within the UK and Ireland.
Flexible remote work can be discussed, but a minimum of 3 days per week must be in the office.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
