Geotechnical and Contamination Investigations
Following a Phase I Desk Study and on producing a Conceptual Site Model it may be necessary to undertake an intrusive Phase II Investigation.
A Phase II Investigation can take many forms from simple sample collection to detailed intrusive investigations. Contamination Investigations are often completed for development sites which require compliance with planning conditions relating to contaminated land issues. For potential site acquisition/investment, the Phase II investigation provides a degree of assurance about potential soil and groundwater contamination issues to allow detailed risk and liability assessment to be undertaken.
We have experience of many types of former industrial sites including tanneries, petrol filling stations, breweries, vehicle repair garages, plating works and engineering workshops.
